West Bend Police make multiple arrests for OWI

Dec. 5, 2017 – West Bend, WI – The West Bend Police Department made the following arrests for OWI between Thursday Nov. 30, 2017 and Sunday Dec. 3, 2017.

OWI/RESISTING ARREST/ POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA
1100 Block W. Washington St.
On Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017 at 7:05 PM, West Bend Officers checked on a disabled vehicle in the 1100 block of W. Washington St. The driver was a 24-year-old West Bend man. The officer observed signs the man was intoxicated. The man as extremely uncooperative and when the officers told the man he was under arrest, the man physically resisted the officer’s attempts to place him in handcuffs. After a brief struggle the man was handcuffed and safely taken into custody. The man was arrested for OWI, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. There were no injuries to the officers or the 24-year-old man.

OWI RESTRICTED CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
800 Block Wellington Dr.
On Saturday December 2, 2017 at 5:31 PM, a citizen reported a suspicious vehicle in the 800 block of Wellington Dr. A West Bend Officer located the vehicle and identified the driver as a 21 year old West Bend male. The driver showed signs of impairment, admitted to smoking Marijuana recently, and was arrested for OWI-Restricted Controlled Substance.

On Saturday December 2, 2017 at 9:52 PM, a West Bend Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver, a 17-year-male from Cedarburg showed signs of impairment, admitted to smoking Marijuana recently, and was arrested for OWI-Restricted Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana

2400 Block W. Washington St
On Sunday December 3, 2017, at 2:54 AM, a West Bend Officer stopped a vehicle in the 2400 block of W. Washington St. for driving eastbound in the westbound lane. The driver, a 27-year-female from West Bend showed signs of intoxication, failed the standardized field sobriety tests and blew a .202 into a PBT. The female was arrested for OWI and Driving the Wrong Way on a Divided Highway.
