September 1, 2022 – Slinger, WI – Rev. Donald James Wright, 88, of Slinger, Wisconsin passed away Monday, August 29, 2022 in his home at Serenity Villa.
Don was born January 14, 1934 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Emily M. (nee Cwik) and Norman J. Wright. He graduated from Messmer High School and continued his education at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
He served our country in the United States Army. Don was united in marriage to Marilyn (nee Spalda) who preceded him in death in 2001. He later remarried to Jane (nee Simon/Adameak) who also preceded him in death.
Don is survived by his children, Donald, Gregory, William, Paul and John, grandchildren, Jason, Lindsay, Stephanie, Erik, Amber, Zach, Alexandra, Matthew, Annemarie, David, Michael, Andrew, and Luke; great grandchildren, Emma, Ayden, Ian, Madison, Eliza and Ozzy. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Marilyn, wife, Janie; siblings Norma, Norman Jr., Audrey, Gilbert, Charlotte, Gloria and Janet.
Funeral Service for Don will be held Friday, September 9, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union Street, Hartford, WI 53027, with visitation from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. Immediately following services, Don will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Angel’s Cemetery, (Shepard of the Hills) in Armstrong (Fond du Lac), Wisconsin.
