April 21, 2021 – Washington Co., WI – The Wisconsin State Patrol has released information regarding the fatality on I41 southbound and Arthur Road. The crashes happened Wednesday, April 21, 2021 on I-41 SB at 41SB NEAR ARTHUR ROAD in WASHINGTON County near SLINGER.

The crash involved 1 fatality and 6 injuries.
The details of the crash are as follows:
The Wisconsin State Patrol responded to a request from the Washington County Sheriffs Office for assistance with multiple crashes on Interstate 41. Heavy snowfall and cold temperatures resulted in flash freeze conditions on Interstate 41.
Numerous crashes and vehicles driving into the ditch occurred between State Highway 28 and State Highway 60. A crash involving approximately 30 vehicles occurred on Interstate 41 northbound in the area of Arthur Road in the Town of Polk. A female, 37, of Trenton, TN, died from the injuries suffered in that crash. Six other people were transported to hospitals in West Bend for medical treatment.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the fatal crash and was assisted by its Technical Reconstruction Unit.
Interstate 41 remains closed in both directions as officers from the Wisconsin State Patrol and Washington County Sheriffs Office investigate crashes and remove damaged vehicles from the scene.
