Obituary | Arvetta V. Killinger, 89, of Jackson

February 23, 2020 – Jackson, WI –Arvetta V. Killinger (nee Chance), 89, of Jackson, formerly of Milwaukee died Monday, February 17, 2020 at Froedtert West Bend Hospital. She was born March 2, 1930 in Rochester, MN to Albert and Eda (nee Buck) Chance. Arvetta was raised in Rochester and worked briefly at Mayo Clinic.

She was united in marriage to Ronald L. Killinger on September 6, 1951 in Rochester.

Following their marriage they settled in Milwaukee where she worked at Master Lock for almost 20 years. She enjoyed working in her garden, especially tending to her flowers. She also liked to spend time shopping for antiques. She almost always came home with an antique or two when she went out.

Arvetta is survived by her husband of over 68 years, Ron, 3 children: Greg (Nancy) Killinger of Rochester, MN, Mark Killinger of Santa Clara, UT and Sue Ann (Richard) Malone of Las Vegas, NV and 6 grandchildren: Matthew, Michael, Daniel, Jacob, Joseph and Jessica. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Eda Chance, her brother Doug and her sister Alberta.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 24, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, N168 W20135 Main Street, Jackson. Burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park. The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 10:45 p.m.
