Obituary | Karen “Grandma” E. Jacquet (Krajcik), 77, of West Bend

April 1, 2020 – West Bend, WI – Karen “Grandma” E. Jacquet (nee Krajcik), 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2020 at The Pavilion at Glacier Valley in Slinger.

She was born on June 30, 1942 in Milwaukee, WI to Michael and Helen (nee Theodore) Krajcik. Karen’s love was gardening, dog training, and all animals. Karen was the director of training, specifically in obedience training for K-9 and Milwaukee Dog Training Club. She herself, had several obedience champion dogs. She later spent several years volunteering and organizing dog training classes for the Washington County Humane Society. Her passion was working with the families of troubled dogs. Karen also enjoyed being a bus driver for Johnson Bus Company for over 15 years.

Karen is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Walter; children, Debra Riffel, Brian (Tamara) Jacquet; grandchildren, Mariah (Greg) Wilson, Trevor Nelson, Autumn (Brendon) Conway, Brooke and Claire Jacquet; great-grandchildren, Miley, Brealynn, Oakley, Hudson, Ryker, Lilah; sisters, Mary (Jim) Morris, Linda (John) Lalicata. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents.

Due to CDC restrictions, Karen will be placed at Wisconsin Memorial Park and a Celebration of Life will be at a later date.

A special thank you to the caregivers at the Pavilion at Glacier Valley.

  1. Karen you will be missed, you were a lot of fun at the dog shows . A lot of fond memories at the Ricki Center (WCHS)…. always will remember her sense of humor
