Jan. 13, 2019 – Hartford, WI – Keith A. Marx, 87, of Hartford, Wisconsin passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the Kathy Hospice in West Bend, WI, surrounded by his loving family.
Keith was born February 23, 1931 in Hartford to Mildred C. (nee Young) and Joseph P. Marx. Keith worked for Wittenberger Bus Service where he met his wife to be, Paulette M. Baertlein. They were united in marriage on August 10, 1968 at St. Hubert’s Catholic Church in Hubertus, WI.
Keith served in the United States National Guard from 1948-1957. He worked for International Stamping Co. Inc. (then Midas International, 1984) from June 17, 1946-May 13, 1988, retiring after 42 years. He also worked for the Hartford Fire Department from April 1959-July 1993. He was the engineer for the first diesel pumper for the City of Harford, “1660” Mack. After Keith’s father passed February 3, 1993 he became President of Marx Industries and JorMar Industries.
Keith is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Paulette Marx; loving son, Paul J. Marx; dear sister, Marlene Confare of Hartford. He is further survived by other dear relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, and siblings-in-law.
Funeral Services for Keith will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 12:30p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union Street Hartford, WI 53027). Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:30a.m.-12:30p.m.
Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
