Obituary | Ronald Joseph DuCharme, 72, of West Bend

October 7, 2019 – West Bend, WI – Ronald “Ron” DuCharme, (The Pepper Man), 72, of West Bend passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Kathy Hospice, West Bend.

He was born on March 29, 1947 to the late Roger and Therese (nee Urban) DuCharme in Cresco, IA. On May 8, 1971 he was united in marriage to Marita Peters at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Barton. Ron worked as a truck driver for many years and helped on his brother-in-law’s farm after retirement. Ron had the gift of gab and could talk to anybody, making new friends everywhere. He enjoyed gardening, growing and selling his hot peppers and giant Kohlrabi, and playing sheepshead with the family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Those Ron leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Marita DuCharme; three children, Steven (Crystal) DuCharme, Jessica (Daniel) Fouks, and Kelly (Fiancé William Brynes) DuCharme; six grandchildren, Ari, Theresa, Hailey, Katie, Amanda, and Ashley; one great grandson, Jaxxon; five sisters, Suzanne (Mike) Rudolf, Rosy DuCharme, Marilyn (Rick) Learned, Randi Hoffmann, and Terri (Jerry) Lemke; a brother, Mark (Christine Steuer) DuCharme; a brother-in-law, Joseph Peters; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Lynda DuCharme.

A Memorial Mass in remembrance of Ron will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1610 Monroe St., West Bend. Inurnment to follow Mass.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of Mass.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Kathy Hospice and Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home for all their wonderful help and care

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society or to Kathy Hospice in Ron’s name is appreciated by the family.
