September 15, 2020 – Campbellsport, WI- State Representative Timothy Ramthun (R-Campbellsport) has received the Award for Conservative Excellence from the American Conservative Union Foundation.
“I am truly honored to receive the Award for Conservative Excellence from the American Conservative Union Foundation,” Rep. Ramthun said.
Ramthun is the representative in the 59th Assembly District which includes Hartford, Kewaskum, Campbellsport, Eden, Cascade, Waldo, Mount Calvary, St. Cloud, and New Holstein.
The ACU was founded in 1964 and prides itself on being ‘the oldest ongoing conservative lobbying organization in the U.S.’
“I also received a 100% conservative rating on my voting record for key bills, one of only seven in the entire Assembly. I believe receiving such a rating during my first term as a representative is quite notable, as it shows my absolute, unwavering commitment to conservative values,” the Representative continued.
“I never vote yes or no on a bill because someone else tells me to. My analysis of bills with my staff is always surgical, asking as many questions as possible to fully understand the merit of each piece of legislation.”
“Moreover, this award shows that Madison has not changed me. I will never neglect my duty to you, because it is due to you that I have this opportunity to represent the 59th District and I will always do that to the absolute best of my ability, no matter what,” said Ramthun.
