Slinger School District mourns the loss of Mason Mrozak, 15

Students and staff in the Slinger School District are mourning the loss of Mason Mrozak, 15, who died Monday, Feb. 22.

Counselors were brought in to school to help students work through the loss of their classmate.

Funeral services are posted below.
Mason was born on May 19, 2000 in Milwaukee to Milton A. and Melena M. (nee Schipp). He was raised in St. Francis and Richfield and attended Slinger High School. Mason enjoyed watching The Lord of The Rings and Game of Thrones, playing football and volleyball, hiking, camping, playing video games and especially hanging out with his friends. He was member of the Slinger football team.

Mason is survived by his parents Milton and Melena; his sisters Holly and Hannah; grandparents Linda “Mimi” and Robert “Papa” Schipp; Milton F. Mrozak and his canine companions Maxx and Akira and his feline companion Figaro. He is further survived by his uncles Ryan (Oana) Schipp and Michael Bauer, cousins other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Sharon Mrozak.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday Feb. 29 at The Basilica of The National Shrine of Mary, Help of Christians at Holy Hill, St. Therese Chapel (1525 Carmel Rd., Hubertus) with Father Fred Alexander OCD presiding. Visitation will be at the church only on Monday February 29th from 4 p.m. until Mass at 6 p.m.

The family would like to thank the Slinger High School, Friess Lake School and the communities of Slinger, Hartford and Richfield for all their care and support.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Organ Donation Network are appreciated.
