January 13, 2022 – Sheboygan Co., WI – On Thursday, January 13, 2022, at approximately 5:39 a.m., the Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center received several 911 calls in reference to several vehicles involved a crash.
The caller advised one person was trapped in a burning vehicle. Additional information indicated one person was ejected from a vehicle. The accident occurred on I-43, Northbound, near Rowe Road.
When a Deputy arrived, a second vehicle crash happened on southbound I-43 at MM132. A vehicle struck a pickup truck from behind causing the truck to leave the roadway and roll over, causing minor injury.
The trapped person was removed with minor injuries and transported for neck and back pain to a local hospital. The ejected person was transported to Saint Vincent Hospital with possible life-threatening injuries. The second victim was removed with minor injuries and transported to a local hospital. A third victim was also transported to a local hospital for back and neck pain.
The accidents remain under investigation. Deputies learned no one was trapped inside a burning vehicle.
