January 12, 2022 – Hartford, Wi – As construction of a new Festival Foods comes to fruition another chapter of business history on Sumner Street meets its demise as demolition is underway on the former Ponderosa Steakhouse building.
The old Ponderosa, 1285 E. Sumner Street, which had been in business in Hartford since 1994, closed June 20, 2021.
The parcel will soon be home to a new Culver’s. It is expected to open in summer 2022.

The former site of Culver’s, 1570 E. Sumner Street, is still under litigation on the actual cause of the September 11, 2021, fire thus demolition is delayed.
